           5 THINGS TO DO AFTER EVERY RUN.

Running is a great way to work out. Whether you are running 1 miles or 5kmiles whichever it maybe. Its important that you know some of this after-run basic that you can use to round-off every run.

Let's look at this, as a fitness assistant  or a random sports person,you admit that after each run you feel tired and worn out. 


But what you dont know is that what you do after each run,could either soothe your body and make you relaxed or It could indirectly overwrite out all your hard work.

Okay Now lets's look at some of the things every runner should do after each run.

1. Let The Heat Off.

Absolutely important. After all the the work out and hours of running,it's medically advised that you cool down and take sometime to rest. 



Our body does not need too much to become stressed out. So its important that you give your self some time to cool off and relax. If you don't do this then it means that you are not giving your body enough time it requires to fully perform its functions during exercise. 

So what happens when we run?. 

When we run our body carries out and performs some essential functions needful for our muscles and brain as well, some of which includes;


  • Metabolic activities.
  • Blood supply and circulation.
  • Break down of cells.
  • Increases heart rate.
  • Increase activities of sweat glands.
whether your'e a newbie or experienced runner.You should know that your body undergoes some slight changes in It's metabolic activities. When you use this effectively you achieve desired result.

2. Drink Water.

Water is very helpful for body fluid that was lost during exercise. our internal body fluid needs to be maintained,especially after a run. 

All body cells,tissues and organs needs water to function properly. dehydration can result to a lot of things including:


  • Weakness
  • Fevers.
  • Muscle fatigue.
  • Emotional distress
  • Mood swings
  • Hyper-volumia and 
  • Shock.
Water helps in maintaining a homeostatic balance within the cells. and regulating the electrolyte and enzyme reactions. Very importantly water is beneficial for the repair of worn out cells.

For instance: You just finished running and you feel thirsty,weak and tired but you you still have to engage in some other exercises besides running,the best thing to do is to drink-up enough water,this hydrated your body and assist in ongoing metabolic processes that happen within cells.


3. Massage your body.

This is one of the most relaxing as well as therapeutic measures  to take after every run. this relaxed your worked up muscles and relieves muscles from pain. Recent studies have shown that massage is a major fitness hack that you can use to improve tissue repair and enhance relaxation of muscles. 


Body massage is an excellent way to reduce the post-work out soreness and increase flexibility of muscles. Massage could be done just before bed time. they work better when combined with the sleep therapy.

4. Eat healthy.

After every exercise food is needed in the body. food helps to replace the energy that was lost during work-outs. The body needs an amount of food nutrient for the repair of damaged tissue cells or encourage metabolic processes.

The choice of food must be chosen wisely,An intake of high calorie food may likely undo all of your hard-work. So its best to opt for a food more highly nutritive and having less calories. using natural foods are mostly preferred, you can take a natural fruit juice blended together with a small piece of health snack pack to go with it. fruits like watermelon,oranges,apple,graviola and many more.

5. Sleep.

Sleeping is the greatest way for repair,rebuilding and replacing of body cells,especially after every workout. You can decide whenever you want to sleep but just know that at least your body needs not less that 8-10 hours. 


Studies have shown that the body rapidly replaces worn out cells and tissues of the body during sleep. A day or two rest in the body highly gives your body the opportunity  to  fully recover,without injuries.


Other Extras You Can Do.

Well to achieve a much better result from you day to day work. You can try a few of this after-run tips. 

1. Do some stretches.
2. Listen to dome music. [I always do]
3. Do some yoga [ Trust me when i stay that they are super good for replacing the mind and body as well.]
